Packers’ Woodson back at practice after concussion
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP)—Cornerback Charles Woodson(notes) has returned to practice
on a limited basis for the Green Bay Packers, another sign he’s making progress
recovering from a concussion.
Woodson sustained a concussion in Sunday’s victory over the Giants. Packers
coach Mike McCarthy says Woodson’s limited participation Wednesday was part of
the protocol a player must complete before returning to action.

McCarthy says he expects Woodson to play Sunday against Oakland.
Packers guard Josh Sitton(notes) has been ruled out because of a knee injury, and
tackle Chad Clifton(notes) continues to sit out with hamstring and back issues. The
status of inside linebackers A.J. Hawk(notes) and Desmond Bishop(notes) is unclear; McCarthy
says Hawk is closer to returning than Bishop. Both have calf injuries.
Running back James Starks(notes) did not practice because of knee and ankle
injuries.
