Chargers place Dielman on IR with concussion
The San Diego Chargers on Wednesday placed Pro Bowl guard Kris
Dielman, who suffered a concussion with about 12 minutes to play
against the New York Jets on Oct. 23, on injured reserve. He
finished the game against the Jets and was not assessed until after
the loss.

of a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee.

Matt Cassel had surgery to repair what coach Todd Haley called a
significant injury on his right (throwing) hand. Haley said he
doesn’t know when Cassel will be able to return.
Hall of Famer Gregg battling Parkinson’s • Former defensive
lineman Forrest Gregg, 78, who played in a then-record 188
consecutive NFL games with Green Bay and Dallas during his Hall of
Fame career from 1956-71, said he has been diagnosed with
Parkinson’s disease.
