Rozsival skates; injury termed "concussion syndrome"
Phoenix Coyotes update:
Defenseman Michal Rozsival, who has not played since being hit in the face with a puck on opening night, is slowly making his way back from a concussion-related injury. He skated for 15 minutes Tuesday.
Coach Dave Tippett said Rozsival’s absence is longer than he anticipated.
“He got hit with with a puck, and he was cut, and when you’re looking at the concussion-syndrome thing, it’s anybody’s guess, he said. “I don’t think anybody expected Sidney Crosby to be out as long as he has either.
“That’s just something, day to day, you see where he is. He keeps trying to move forward, and (Tuesday) was a positive step, getting him back on the ice.”

The Coyotes, who host the Canadiens on Thursday, are in the midst of a four-day break, and Tippett admits it’s a fine line between rest and preparation.
“Very few times in your schedule do you have a situation like this,” he said. “Sunday was an automatic rest day for everybody, with the three games in the last four days we just came out ouf.
“Monday, a unique situation, with the golf tournament, but we had some players tthat needed ice time Monday. Most of the vets took two days off, and you could see the energy,” Tippett added, noting it was a “great practice” Tuesday.
