Concussion test workshop scheduled

Ministry Door County Medical Center is hosting an ImPACT Training Workshop from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday at Stone Harbor Resort Conference Center, 107 N. First Ave, Sturgeon Bay.

ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) is a computerized evaluation system for medical doctors, psychologists, athletic trainers and other licensed healthcare professionals to help determine an athlete’s ability to return to play after suffering a concussion.

The workshop offers medical professionals a full day of academic training on Concussion 101, Sideline Evaluation, Return-to-Play Protocols, Interpreting the ImPACT Clinical Report and Case Presentations.

The workshop includes a 200-page workbook, lunch and a completion certificate. Continuing education units are available for athletic trainers. For more information, contact Tina Koyen at (920) 746-0410.
